ITV political leaders debate

I agree with you, pete. I didn't watch it because I knew what the "flim flam" would be from the Politicians. What they say on the Podium, what they say in Public, and what they say on TV consists of a thousand words in which nothing has been said.
The subject of Politicians never answering a direct question of the TV or Radio was in a short program on TV. The way they "danced" around trying to avoid answering a question, tried to change the subject, or trying to waffle their way through knowing that the Journalists/Reporters only had a limited time to interview them and deliberately wasting time to get to the end of the interview was, and is, pathetic. It's one of the reasons the Politicians are disliked, distrusted, and perhaps what has caused the Nationalists in a lot of countries to become prominent in the elections.
The Establlshment, the Civil Servants, the Politicians know they're intensely disliked because of their inability to be honest and open...........but, they say, off the record, it's for the Public's own good, when in fact all they thinking of is their own good.
