I notice that B&Q now sell their compost in 50l (not 60l) bags......for the same price....

ASDA are selling 3no 70l bags of their own 'professional' compost for £10 - I can't find cheaper compost anywhere and it's good stuff.

    B&Q... naughty, naughty :nonofinger:

While I'm on a soap box - anyone notice that engine oil is now sold in 4l bottles...it used to be 5l bottles....:frown:

The trouble with the cheapie compost, it can vary year to year, sometimes its good, other years not so good.

Tend to go for the big brand names as they do seem more consistent in quality.

Think you must have been looking at the Castrol oils; they have been sold in 4 ltr bottle for a good few years, though many other brands like Shell, Comma, Halfords etc still sell in 5ltrs.

Just depends on how much your car needs for an oil change, mine takes 4.2ltrs, so a 4ltr + 1 ltr bottle of Castrol can work out very expensive, unless you are lucky to find some in stock when Adsa and sometimes Tesco have sale prices on Castrol, which is not very often.

Good buy. It's not branded Morrisons is it? Can't remember the name. I tried to get these but they get snapped up really quickly - sold out an entire pallet within a day at my local Morrisons.

More companies are doing it. Even Tesco's own brand oil is now in 4l containers. I find that it tends to be the higher spec oils that are in 4l containers - IMHO a rip off as many cars are over 4 but under 5.

Lidl £1.50, smallish bag but good stuff nevertheless. Wilko do a £2 bag as well.
