    Hi there,
Is there any chance to save this Rose. It looks like the roots are dying and it was infested with green and white fly. Can I do anything with it?? I'm Hoping the green stem is a good sign.
    Thanks.

That very stout green stem could be a Sucker, ie a shoot from the Rootstock , not the graft.

From your picture its hard to see the graft point.

Why is there a bin bag around its roots ?

Any idea of the name and type of rose it is ie bush, climber ?

There seems to be a lot of Aphids around this year, though old, diseased plants will be more likely to get them.

Think I would ditch it and buy a nice pot grown one from your local garden centre which should give you some small blooms this year.

If wanting to plant it in the same location remove the old soil and import some good fresh soil /compost and use some of the Fish Blood and Bone plus Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi when planting.

Good evening @amco35 my friend would it be at all possible to show us the top and the base of the Rose in two separate images,it definitely needs moving in to another position, have you any more information on this Rose, its history ,type age,etc that would be most beneficial to me and would help to save your rose.don't give up on it yet;):blue thumb:

                Hi☺
It's a rose Bush and only around 6 years old. It's isn't black bag around the roots, but one of those covers to prevent weeds growing.
My mother decided to take all the leaves off it as they were infested with green fly. I have the feeling that wasn't a good idea!
We don't know what to do to help it but would really like to save the poor thing and see it bloom
                Any ideas?

Don't worry about the leaves being stripped they will be replaced. Looking at the new pictures the stem is coming from the graft which makes it difficult to decide whether it's a sucker or not. Looking at the amount of thorns on the stem would suggest to me it is indeed a sucker. Perhaps our Rosarian @wiseowl can help you further if he would be so kind. :)

My only suggestion at the moment is to leave it and see how it develops.
