I cannot tell if its a cow parsnip or a giant cow parsnip. Some of them are more or less my height now so a tad above 6 feet and the leaves are really broad. Quick look out there and there are people who had serious issues with skin burns. Hikers beware: Cow parsnip can inflict pain on those who don't take precautions When I took the picture I had removed quite a lot of them from the front part of the garden but the pictures are from the back of the garden.

I was wearing gloves but just out of habit really. These are really all over the garden so I want to make sure I can remove them without them coming up and causing problems to people etc. Yesterday I had a massive rush on one of my legs (I was wearing shorts) but I dont think its from the plant. I think its an insect bite that got infected. Still I will be cautious with exposure to sun cause apparently they are affected by uva

    This is a Hogweed, they grow 5 to 6 foot DSCI0004 (4).JPG

Giant Hogweed grows 10 foot plus and has a flower head about 2 to 3 foot across :yikes:

    Both will cause photosensitive burns.
