Those Muscari look a little different to the norm or is it a trick of the camera?

 

No idea. First time I've ever planted them. What's "different" about them?

 

They look much fuller than the ones that I'm used to....................

They're Muscari Armeniacum "Blue Spike" from Potterton's in Lincolnshire.

My first time of trying them. Jury's out whether I like them yet; flowers don't seem to last that long.

I grew alpines in troughs a few years ago elsewhere......you have inspired me to grow them again.

 

Physoplexis Comosa is an absolute gem

(Leucogenes Tarahaoa from NZ is almost gone in the wild for some reason so I'm delighted mine is growing from a tiny sprig. Let's hope it keeps growing.)

 

That's nice! Is there a low growing Sedum that's good in semi shade?

 

I find that the ordinary Sedum Album flowers profusely with its massive mat of white blooms in the shade at the bottom of a north-facing wall. But I'd imagine that ones planted in deep shade would get very scraggy. (I haven't planted any in DEEP shade yet.)
