Trying to asses the health of a largish urban tree

    Hello,

    I can provide pics of this tree in its prime and pictures of it looking less than healthy now (close up too) . I'm sure an expert would know straightaway. I don't even know the type but if i can email photos to someone they might be able to help.
    This is what i hope...

    Post some pics.

    If the tree is in a location were its failure could cause damage or injury though then you should really get an arb consultant to access it. A photo diagnosis is not the same as looking at something in the flesh.

    If it's on 'council land', contact your local tree officer who will come and look at the tree for you. Even if you are not sure whos land it is on, they would also be able to help with that.
