    Evening all,

I know that it's OK to harvest blackberries from the wild, assuming it follows the guidelines outlined in the sticky thread at the top of this subforum, but I'm wondering what the rules are on harvesting blackberry stems?

i.e. A blackberry twig with leaves attached.

The reason I'm checking is because cutting small branches off plants is different to plucking the berries off. Anybody know anything about this? :th scifD36:

    Cheers in advance!

If the medieval rules still apply then it's ok as it's classed as wood and not timber, the latter would be the property of the landowner :)

I don't seriously think anyone will mind if you snip off a length of bramble. Most people think of it as a weed.

If I get desperate later on then I might take you up on that :heehee:

Yeh I thought the same except I get the feeling that some people might see it as "interfering with wildlife" sort of thing. :noidea: I figured a bit of research about the rules would be a good idea.
