Sympathies @Jiffy, have had the patter if less than tiny feet through my garden a couple of times and had the little darlings stretching over the fence to see what's on offer in my garden. I have just come in from replanting about a dozen Parsnips and Sprouting Broccoli plants as to my horror (very early to be back here)the annual visit from a deer took place last night. Well I am hoping it's only a deer not a herd of them:yikes:.

Thank you, but they were just having fun up/down the road...........again  i did say to the farm worker about the gate, so nowt happen till they got out, these bullocks are wild and even a five foot fence and hedge didn't stop them last time, so a bit of baler twine holding the gate shut means nowt to these bullocks

Had my first wasp sting of the year at work today. :yikes:

Made it to the middle of July this year before the first one, so can't complain I suppose.

Little b***er got me on the hand, right through the thin glove I was wearing.

Got a fat hand now. :lolpt: :blue thumb:

Had to blast one last week. At dusk, poured some gas down its hole, and lit it. It was in one of my gardens.

I've just read this on the internet:

Atopy (atopic sensitization) was defined based on the sum of IgE antibodies that are specific to inhalant allergens, such that an individual with log10(ΣIgEinhalant) > IgEth was classified as atopic [19], where IgEth is a cut-off level.

                      I really wish now that I hadn't.....time for a brew...:coffee:

@clanless is every leaf infected as I get it every year on my hollyhocks and I just take off the infected leaves and bin them and that seems to slow it down a bit.I don't think it is a disease that you can ever get rid of totally.

I also grow campanula, the variety that grows tall and mine have now started getting the rust and I don't know whether it is coming from the hollyhocks. My rust on the campanula doesn't seem to start up until the campanulas are starting to go over and set seed:sad:

Hi Kandy - all the leaves are rusty - I only noticed recently - this is the first time I've grown Hollyhocks. I chose a variety that didn't grow too tall, was colourful and flowered in the first year - so much for planning :th scifD36:.

The foliage doesn't look particularly attractive - but as there are loads of buds - I'm hoping to at least get some kind of display this year - fingers crossed :fingers crossed:

... I would IMPLODE!! :rrant:  :slaphead: :cry3:

If I thought this past year had thrown all it could at me (in all ways), it was nothing compared to today: just one day!!! The icing on the cake?

Still, I count my blessings: it could have been worse and, no doubt, tomorrow is another day and the sun will shine brighter - yadda, yadda, yadda - (just doesn't feel like it right now).
