What are these Roses Please?

I was told Ruba with the larger one and just 'Pink Rose' with the smaller, but the leaves seem totally different from any rose I have seen and they are very thin and papery, not thick and glossy like on other roses. I got them both from an old lady round the corner from me (Hence not knowing whether they have been named correctly). The larger one, I have had for a few months, but it hasn't produced any flowers, though it really doesn't get a lot of sun!

 

Nobody have any idea??

I am really perplexed as nobody I have asked seems to know either. It's a real mystery...

The other thing to do, ideally with photo of flower, is to ask the RNRS in St Albans. They should know! You can find them with the help of your friendly search engine

I wasn't very clear - RNRS is royal national rose society, HQ is in an area of St Albans whose name I can't remember, I'm afraid. When I worked as a volunteer there, they frequently got ID requests. The flower would help immensely though!

Whoops - just googled them - apparently gone into administration! Sorry - don't think that will be much use .... :(. But - they do appear to have an active Facebook page
