Normally write off "talent shows" but she does have some serious talent, amazing! Fair play to her, plays and writes her own music and over come her deafness.. I'm blubbing.

I always thought that talent shows were a bit rubbish but, a few years ago, I happened to see one of these '...Got Talent' shows and partially changed my mind. There is still a lot of rubbish on them but there is a hell of a lot of very good talent as well.

It's a tough business and being voted out, even when you're good, can be quite devastating. The only consolation is that your talent has been exposed to the public and agents and you may get a boost up into a good career.

When the rubbish is on I can make myself a cuppa, or read a book (always on my lap) but some of the exceptionally good talent is worth it. I think it's now at the Finals stage and there are some excellent acts in it and a few that are entertaining but not really worth the position they're in.

It's hard to tell what will be the public's favourite but there are a few that I like. Mandy, of course, a nine year old called Celine who sings very much like Celine Dion and a young 12 year old lad who is a very expressive dancer and tells emotions through his dancing, choreographed by himself.
