BREAKING NEWS! Storm chaos hits Ipswich - tree branch blocks pavement, cyclists forced to use road.
OMG - they'll have nowhere to park when it's time for the school run, what to do? Phone the emergency services? Will they have to close the school?
Or, I could just move it off the path - crisis averted. At times like this, we all need to do our bit for the community. :heehee:

IMG_1110.JPG We had a windy night and the caravan moved a bit and it kept us awake but we survived ok.Felt more sorry for the campers who were trying to redo their guy ropes last evening as the wind was howling and the rain was blowing sideways :snorky:

We had a fantastic day yesterday on The Flying Scotsman and the sun shone on us all day and we took many photos of her:yay::hapfeet::hapydancsmil::yahoo: but am struggling to do anything on the net in the evenings as everything is so slow here in Somerset

Had to run out at 1.30am to try and stop my blow-away from, well, blowing away.. stuck a load of pots on the bottom of it and wedged a table up against it.. its currently in a crumpled heap on the patio, no broken bits though! Trampoline tried rehoming itself in next doors garden despite having breeze blocks on the bottom bars.

Seemed quite calm up until 10 minutes ago, wind has picked up again slightly and started tipping down now!

My garden gazebo has survived yet another storm! (It's much more secure now it's held down by 3 tonnes of firewood around the perimeter).

No @Jiffy we rode on her yesterday and the incident with her getting stuck was earlier on but we did see it on the local news and funnily enough the couple that shared our table yesterday on the train knows the couple who filmed the incident.

From what we can gather she is used to travelling on flat rails and can go as you know quiet fast but down on the West Somerset line she was restricted to 25mph whereas as normally she does 75mph:smile:

When we were on the platform at Minehead waiting for the return journey we were taking photos of Raveningham Hall which was steaming up, the driver offered Mr Kandy a chance to go up onto the footplate so that made his day:snorky:

I am going to have to give up with the internet as it is so bloody slow it logged me out this morning when I was trying to upload the photo:sad:
