Sorry to hear that @wiseowl I know how annoying it can be when you want to get out and can't.
              Today's offerings.
Gadwall at Longham Lakes, common(ish) duck easily overlooked but I love them due to the intricate plumage pattern, nearly always in pairs.

Very distant Ruff! The weed in these lakes (ex gravel pits) was so thick the birds were sitting and walking on it!

From the garden today. the insect with the spiked tail was stuck in the shed window until I released it, the fish pond net came in handy, no way I was picking that thing up.

As I don't have any zoom lenses I have to try and get close to the birds to take my photos :noidea:. These were a bit more obliging - sort of :heehee: It would help if they would stand still :snorky:

I leave it to you bird people to know what they are :)

@martin-f your insect with the spiky tail is just an Ichneumon wasp, parasitic but has no sting, the spiky bit is the ovipositor for laying eggs in it's host, Butterfly caterpillars, Beetles etc.
