    Hello folks

I have just signed up. I am a complete novice and hope to learn a lot from you all.

My good lady and I have been talking about getting the garden sorted out properly for a while, but pressure of work and other commitments have delayed things.

We want to grow our own fruit and vegatables, plus lots of bright colourful flowers. We started doing things a few weeks ago, then I had a heart attack 10 days ago, so I have to be very careful what I do for a little while. I got out of hospital last wednesday.

All I have done since then is pot on some plug plants and start some seeds off in a propogator that we were given. Very therapeutic and a pleasant passtime. We have a small lean to greenhouse at the side of the house. We have enough space to have a decent size veg patch as well.

Hope to get to know some of you soon.

    Regards

    Chopper.:)

    Hi Chopper,

sorry to hear your news and I hope you recover very soon, I think generally its a sign that you need to change something.

I hear what you are saying abou therapeutic though......I have worked like mad for the last 6 weeks only taking sundays off....so i am having tomorrow off and a long weekend.

I'm planning a raised veg bed, running power into the greenhouse, cutting the grass ( although i have a ride on, so i secretly enjoy it).

Keep well chopper and good to know you

    Baz

Many thanks for the warm welcome folks. Already found some useful information and had some good advice from more experienced people.

    Good to be here.
