Yes, its been lovely down here in Sussex and for a :thmb:change NO cold wind, I've managed to spend all afternoon pottering around sorting out the plants I'm taking over to France next week.

It's a beauty-I even have a slight reddening on my forearms.

I have finished all my spring jobs ( the big ones anyway) and have only a touch of weeding left to do.

Don't you just love it ? :) Had a great day too, planting/sowing/potting on and general tidying. It got up to 30c in the greenhouse, and that was with the vents and door open ! Great day indeed ! :thumb:

England is very foreign if you are a migrating type of a person. I've only lived here a bit over a year and everything is still very surprising. Wow! Flowers during the winter! Wow! The office closes if there is snow! And most astonishingly, you can actually boil your veggies for half an hour and then eat them!

And back to the topic, it was a glorious day here in Newcastle as well and I wasted it all indoors. [IMG]

I was watching a bit of Alan Titchmarsh's "How to be gardener" series at the weekend, and he mentioned something about that first day in the year when you can go outside without a coat, lift your face to the sun and think, "yea, spring is here".

    That was yesterday, I think.
