Did anyone else watch this docu-drama? It was scary at least I thought so. In the drama his captors don't know who he is but I think in reality his captors would know exactly who he is!!! Apparently he want's to go back out there but I don't think he should be allowed, surely he puts the rest of his squad in more danger? At the end he manages - easily- to escape!!!!!:skp:

Members of the Royal Family have always served in the Armed Forces. The same situation could have occured with Prince Andrew during the Falklands War. I guess it's just a risk they decide to take.

When it comes down to it, he is the 'spare'.

Personally I think the Royal family dabbling in any such things is down right dangerous.

I guess they have to join the sevices in order to be able to wear whatever uniform is appropriate at official dos etc. in later years.

But they should stay away from the frontline.

Hey Elvis Presley served his country, how different is that. And he was the King of Rock and Roll.

Well quite a bit different surely? He didn't have to watch out for groups of terrorists that were likely to take him hostage, torture him, behead him???!!!

Well not back then. He just had to watch out for tons of women flaunting at his feet.
What do mean not Royalty. He was the King of Rock and Roll.

Presumably Elvis would have sung his captors into submission.

That hip motion is very dangerous stuff that Elvis Presley did. Any male solider from the other side would think twice shoting him. Then the guy would Never get a girl friend.
How do you think that would go down, I shot Elvis Presley. That soldier might as well become a Monk.
