Just goes to show that being -5 Grenwich time can be an advantage - I must have been sleeping when the lights went out!

I've got lots of things on my to do lists (one for list for each day) for the foreseeable future so I may be MIA now and again... or maybe more active than usual whilst trying to procrastinate from completing my to do lists :rolleyespink:

I hope everyone has a great day and plays safely :)

aw no @moyra if any of us can be of any help trying to make it work better or sort out your computer glitches please say! :)

@"M" I hope your evening was good too and thank you for the good wishes.

Hope @CanadianLori has a good morning although it's only just the morning there now! :)

@redstar @Beckie76 so lovely to see both of you on here too! :D

Hope @shiney isn't having a mad busy tournament time and can do a bit of relaxing, and that @Zigs and chums are having fun!

Good morning all, how are you all doing?

It's a dark morning here but I have the day off - wooohooo! - mainly to catch up on sorting things out! This weekend I am playing a couple of gigs so it will be busy and travelly and am having an "extra weekend" couple of days just to get things sorted (like the washing, washing up and tidying) for the next week of sillyness too. Life is never dull or not busy at the moment!

It is nice to have a few minutes to catch up on GC - that has been lacking of late. Where I work is having a restructure so the job I do may be changing quite a bit over the next few months, or I may be leaving - not sure yet. With the house also not being sure for now (i rent, and the landlord looks to be selling the house), it's a bit of a period of uncertainty! Oh dear!

Morning all, its Friday--6:22AM for me, hot coffee here. Chilly windy awaking, brought the deck plants in the sun room last night, as it was touching close to 32. Off to work again soon. We are also restructuring some at my job @toppington . So by January, see what happens, will still have a job, that is not the issue. just some redesigning tasks. all of which is ok, as I 've done all the positions laid out, so what ever hits my plate will be no issue to me. Corporate actually admitted that they made a "mistake" a year ago. We all knew that, now they are trying to right the wrong. Have any of you read the book "Who moved my Cheese" ? And its Friday, out for dinner with husband and friends tonight, yeah. its a BYOB , found two new wines for tonight. Have a good day all.

                        Good day everyone
It is now up to 16.5F and windy, brrrr! The greenhouse is a toasty 60F because the gas heater is operating nicely and the overhead fans are doing a good job of mixing up the air in there. The peppers are getting close to being ready to pick so that in a few days I can shut things down and dismantle the electronics.

I hope everyone has a good day it is warmer where you are!

Hope you get it sorted, moyra. Nothing worse than a machine you come to depend on letting you down.
Ooooh, sounds very interesting! What are you playing?
Period of uncertainty indeed! Perhaps a period of opportunities too? Hope it doesn't cause you unnecessary stress and anxiety :grphg:
Enjoy relaxing ... I think, for you, "relaxing" is hard work!
Hope you had a lovely time ... what did you choose from the menu?
Bet that produces mixed feelings: great, peppers are ready! vs. N'aw, shutting down for the winter :frown:
:heehee: Must have been good! :Wino: :heehee: Thankfully, it is the weekend so you have the time to recover :grphg:

There has been a lot of debate on my local radio throughout this past week regarding the wearing (or not) of the red poppy at this time of year. It seems one in five people aged between 18-25yo disagree with it as they believe it "glorifies war" :dunno: An interesting point of view. To make up for the 20% from that age bracket who decline to buy/wear one, I bought: a traditional paper poppy; a rubber poppy wristband; a pretty zip pull poppy for the zip on my handbag and wore to work the metal pin Mr "M" had bought for me on my lapel.
