We have an Upper Middle Road but No Lower Middle or Middle Middle ... even going back to maps when the town was first established, they aren't there.

We have a Liquor Store on Lushes Lane :)

Well, an avenue historically is simply a row of trees. It is not automatically a road. You could have an avenue pass through a marsh or some rocky terrain or other such impassible land.

If however the land is just right for someone to build a road that follows the line of the avenue, then in choosing a suitable name, avenue road, as in road by the line of trees, seems perfectly valid.

Yep, it's about 5 miles from where I live, Harry. Frog Lane takes you to Peover Hall which has some nice gardens and a collection of Peonies.
You're not wrong, Harry, there's around 8 stables within a mile of where I live and quite a few more within 5 miles. Jodrell Bank is just 8 miles down the road.:love30::snorky:
