hi, I joined this board to help me with growing fruit trees and salad vegetables. I've mostly been a herbal gardener and experienced pond gardening, so fruits and salads are completely new to me.

You're only a stones throw away! I often pop into the wonderful Trago Mills for a bargain. Does the racecourse still have Sunday carboot sales??? Certainly am enjoying the wonderful sunshine. The day before yesterday I visited Prawle Point - near to Torcross and it was beautiful! Glad you like the forum Jo. Kath x.

Yes, the car boot sales in Newton Abbot are a regular (weekly) event,
held either at the racecourse, or at the market in town. We are avid
attendees - I usually find something or other that I can't live without. Last
week it was a radio for £1.50, although the battery cost me twice that! It really
is amazing what you can buy though... interesting stuff that you just wouldn't
see anywhere else.
Prawle Point is very lovely isn't it? I used to go camping near there at East
Prawle... haven't done that for a long time now though. Anyway, it's some unearthly
hour, so I'd best try and get some sleep before the day catches up.
