Just read a recipe by @noisette47 with camembert so I thought that I would share this heart attack on a plate.

Take a boxed camembert, remove the paper wrapping and then cut the top off the camembert. Place two sliced garlic cloves and two bruised rosemary sprigs on top of the cheese, drizzle some olive oil over it (you can add some chopped black olives if you want), place the top of the camembert back on and place it back in the box. Bake for about 20/25 mins at 180°c. Boil you pasta, drain, remove the rosemary sprigs and then scoop the melted cheese into the pasta and mix very quickly! Serve with crispy bacon lardons, tomato jam and chopped watercress.

Ohhhh, that sounds wonderful. Craving it too! Instead of pasta it would also be lovely with all the trimmings you mentioned and a freshly baked baguette....

I didn't know you could get lardons in the UK! @longk. That's what I was getting at in the Tartiflette recipe :) Can you get Reblochon too?

Maybe, but your heart is having cold sweats at the thought of it!

Yup! Or with crushed new potato.

Lidl sell them as does the CoOp. Better still go to a proper butcher and get them to slice the bacon extra thick and dice them yourself. Better better still, go to a butcher who cures his own pancetta and use that instead :blue thumb:

Yes, but it costs an arm and a leg. :yikes:

If you are preparing it to go with a baguette (a good supper meal!) you can do a simplified version, just cutting slits in the cheese to poke in thick slices of garlic, and stems of Rosemary.... As you say, great with tomato jam or chutney, or chilli jam!
