Google of course, I searched Gardening forum and this site was on the first page if I remember correctly. (Then again I was well wined so I'm note completely sure. Could very well be that I was searching for Pink Elephant feeding tips. ) I read some others as well but after a few days this seemed the best.

 

There are various web server log analysis tools you can get, many of them free, that will tell you the search engine that referred someone to a sight, and what keywords they used.

I used google by the way, but it was so long ago I can't remember what search term I used.

I searched with google for Gardening forum. i think this one was in the first few. i had a look and joined because it seemed so friendly!

... should be something captured in your web stats, no?? (I mean if the user arrives via a link from Google or another search engine / web site)

 

Seems like I'm the same as most others - google search and this was the first result I came across.
