Help ! Gardening nightmare !

It’s worth mentioning, that was the garden at my last house. I do miss it

 

How much physical labour is available to you OP? I would suggest hiring a skip (or 3) for a week and getting wheelbarrows, picks and getting rid of everything hard. Bricks, slabs, concrete... just smash it all up and get rid.

hello ! there may be some physical labour available if I can make the bribe big enough , I do like that idea though, that would be my ideal plan of action to get cracking on it, i really hate the bricks slabs etc at the bottom end of the garden, thanks for the advice, also a lot of the concrete is crumbling now

I think fires are the way to go , i will post some further pics later and you can see there is a big bunch of stuff already needing burning

Hi SW, its no a problem yes looks like you've got the hang of it ,

Yes fires are the way to go unless your loaded with money £200 a skip that will soon fill up with branches in it,

What you could do with any bricks stones etc is plan a area for a raised rockery put all the rubble at the bottom save any nice stones for the rockery put any spare soil on top its easy to loose soil from places around the garden for a project like this, some pictures to give you a idea here.

Those are decorative rocks. What the OP has is old bricks and concrete... nothing that looks remotely attractive. I suspect the volume of them is just too much to easily lose underneath new garden structures. I have been doing similar and have a big garden, but still wanted 3 skips over the months to just get rid... it's too much stuff to work with otherwise, and a soft/green garden is so much nicer than a hard concrete one.

Not everyone has £600 spare for skips, i was giving the OP a cheap option that works

Not when making a rockery :rasp:

This area here is full of old rubble hidden with soil and some nice stone on top that i found round the garden, even the broken paving was used,

Ive saved money on a skip and created a nice looking area .

I haven't as well, a few good fires and a built up rockery and all the mess has gone for free, if you decide to make a rockery and don't find any nice stone keep a eye on gumtree it often turns up for free .
