DR for small door dings try a local Dent Devil or similar names. They repaired mine on the drive using a magical process of sliding special tools inside the door and rubbing the dent out . It's a wonder to watch , took 20 minutes cost about £30.

We all complain about the cost of services. But occasionally we forget how far people sometimes have to travel to a job. When they charge by the mile, it soon adds up.
I'm living with my "dings," I can't see them from inside my car.

I'm the same with every new car I've had, I've always managed to get a door ding in them, you then immediately fall out of love with them.

Our son's partner makes me laugh, with his car when they go shopping, "he has to find a kerb somewhere in the car park to put two wheels up on to keep it away from other cars."

Hi @Doghouse Riley the roads mainly cause the dings off bits coming off lorries etc and the motorways are the worst.

Your son's partner loves the motor nothing bad about that :)...my hubby parks our motors in two parking spaces

This is true, but mine are "door dings," from other cars in Sainsbury's car park.

We had a female member of our golf club with a Porsch 911, who used two spaces, it wasn't all that new either. "She got a letter."

That's my point, Riley. Insurance Companies are not the "friendly, caring" companies that they market and are only interested in the bottom line and the share holders............so what you have is priced into your premium which of course increases your costs annually.:dunno::snorky:

                        Is this a new car?

                        Pre-checks are rubbish.

Our first CRV bought in 1998, was an import, made in Japan.
The story was that I wanted a Honda Prelude to replace our Honda LSI, but my wife because of her MS, when she tried to get in one in the showroom, decided it was too low. She calls modern saloon or sports cars "head bangers" as it's easy to bang her head on the top of the doorway as she tries to get in them.
But turning around she said, "I could get in that," pointing at a CRV. First time I saw one, (the seats are at "bum" height for her getting in, as long as it's close to the kerb so it gives her a few more inches and her head is still below the top of the doorway). A test drive convinced me that I liked it, so I ordered one. We had to wait three months for it. For the first year, if you saw saw another coming towards you, they were so rare, "everybody waved!"

I'd had it for a couple of weeks, before I thought the ride seemed harder than it should have been. So I checked the tyre pressures. They were well over-inflated. Apparently they over-inflate them for when they're on the ship bringing them over, so when they are tied down, they don't bounce around if the sea's rough. The just hadn't bothered to set them at the right pressure after it had been delivered to the main agents.

Our present one was made in England, they're really common now.
