We brought some Sunflower Seeds for my boy to plant, they were typical Black and White seeds. It produced a 9ft plant with a large(ish) flower. Now its is looking past its best most of the leaves on the stem have wilted and all the yellow flower have gone - We are wanting to save the seeds to plant again and some for my mothers parrot, but the seeds are pure white....

Are they ready? Can you get white seeds on a plant grown from a Black & White seed?

    Thanks
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

I dont think the seed colour really determines much. Normally once seeds are stored they tend to mature and change colour. As for viability....you're never going to know for sure until you try! I'm sure the parrot will thank you though!

    hope that helps, OrganicPlums.
