    Gone a bit quiet on this thread. Spring flowers have disappeared under snow and our hens have gone back off the lay (they've taken to spending their nights in the nest boxes rather than sitting on their perch rail).

    Hoping things will get back on course next week, maybe when the ice melts at one of our local reserves the Kingfishers and Otters from the nearby river will resume their visits, so I'm actually hoping for some river flooding.

      My bantam is still laying - I thought the weather would knock them off lay, but she's a very determined young lady. No doubt when the weather warms, she'll be the one spending all her time broody! :doh: :chicken: :heehee:
