And only yesterday I ordered seed! On a voluntary gardening holiday ( I'm not going out there!) until later next week! Light covering of snow here but the wind chill? Carol covered her semi hardy plants and the not so hardy plants are tucked away in the greenhouse.

We've had alternate blue skies and sun followed by several snowfalls.

Left with a bit of snow.

Light snow on and off all day that is beginning to accumulate now. But that wind was bitter!

Frankly, I've chuffin' well had enough of this now. I reluctantly started off a handful of Salvia seeds yesterday to go with the handful of other seed that I started a few weeks ago but space is an issue. Usually I would have some seedlings in the greenhouse by now but I daren't.

View outside the back door now. Snow ploughs are out and about :yikes:
It's been snow, sun, snow, sun all day but hasn't laid until now. More to come tomorrow, they say :frown:
As a rule I love the snow but this is really affecting my gardening  I hope Mother Nature gives us all some bright warm weather soon :fingers crossed:

              What Beast from the East?
Woke to clear skies and now very sunny. The sea was calm, the birds were singing and all the signs are of a beautiful day to come
But.......snowing over the Isles of Scilly and snow in east Cornwall. A little oasis here it seems for now!
By lunchtime though it will all change according to the forecast and we can expect snow for the afternoon
Keep safe, warm and healthy folks :)

Only about 20mm max. here and they've shut the local NT property on H&S grounds, although I reckon it's because they only had about 20 visitors yesterday and couldn't be bothered opening today.

I've brought all my Chillies, Peppers, Tomatoes and Celery in from the greenhouse, they can spend 48 hours indoors and save some money on heating.

Hoping for lots of bargains in the supermarkets this afternoon.

Some yesterday and again overnight. Cold wind this morning still but I don't think the snow'll last long, it feels very wet already. Meanwhile here's Ken making the most of it, "tackling" his rugger ball in the little park down the road. Ken in snow 002.JPG

It snowed with a vengeance overnight and early this morning, but I think most of it will be gone by this afternoon. But there'll be no golf tomorrow and a competition final on Wednesday is in the balance.
