@Gail_68 is your Kindle a fairly recent edition? I don't understand why you have a cloud account. I'm still using one of the earlier editions but there is no cloud account attached. The books are automatically stored in the archive section with a press of a button, and with wifi they can still be moved to a later edition when that becomes necessary.

 

Sheal I have a kindle fire hd 7 3rd generation and I opened it with a email account but clouds on it also and it asked me to do an account, so when I brought my e-reader as the kindle was hurting my eyes with the glare, as soon as I started that up with same email address for buying etc...all my books came on to it from having a cloud account...so my books are now on both.
