Which ones are tne unfair ones? Other than booze and cigarettes, just about anything US made is duty free. So, exactly which ones? You've got the official government doc in front of you, please point out which ones are unfair. Or investigate your government documents and get back to me.

We had Menzies Campbell as our MP for many years. I am not great fan of The Liberal Party but he, despite being a high profile MP spent plenty of time and effort on these parts. I only had occasion to contact him twice regarding constituency matters and both times I got a very detailed and rapid personal response, not some standard type reply so to my mind he did a good job for us as far as I know.
Where we used to live the MP was a disgrace. Never bothered to reply to anybody who didn’t agree with his politics, from the size of him he spent most of his time filling his face and was like 2 Jags, using a battered old car to go to anything where his constituency might see him and then used a flash Bentley when he was out of the public eye. Someone who was in the know told me he used to been chauffeur driven down to London to Parlimentary meetings rather than flying as by doing this he could claim hugely more expenses by travelling this way...sigh

 

Who is my MP?
A very good question, I cant actually work out who my MP is, is it Helen Grant, who I believe lives somewhere in Surrey, or is it that Faversham one who nobody has ever heard of, including me.
Just looked it up, it might be Helen Whatley.

Anyway, I guess its someone called Helen.

It is a mystery to me why US/Canada trade policies/ agreements or lack of them should be a subject of debate on British gardening forum!

Trump is an idiot with no political experience, a compulsive liar and probably a psychopath. He doesn’t read, is ill informed, has insulted world leaders from almost all of America’s allies, cares only about himself, is pals with Putin and now Kim whatshisname, sits under sunlamps and watches TV most of the day but most shockingly of all mocked a disabled journalist. @redstar give it a rest, no one on here agrees with you.

Oh well, here we go then - I do not believe that Mr Trump is an idiot, nor do I think he is perfection personified. I don`t really believe his hairstyle matters (nor mine as it `appens)
I don`t believe that most of us are qualified sufficiently well to slag the man off the way we do, and I do believe that he is doing his best to improve our pathetic world the best he can before he pops off.
This chap is a business man - he is just as able as a film star to govern a nation. He has sufficient support from all those who took the trouble to vote for him, and is trying to do a good job. he has enough guts to say what he thinks, even if it turns out to be wrong.
We shall see in time what can be achieved (if we`re still breathing)
It is a comfortable place to be - sitting in the back row, watching, criticising, making witty jokes, and heaping on nasty comments about other people`s shortcomings, but how many of us would take on a huge task like the one we`re supposed to be concerned about?
I sincerely hope that this US president is successful in his efforts - for all our sakes.
