I am growing a Galanthus nivalis - the only one of several bulbs to emerge - currently in a container in my flat. It is growing quite tall but has not yet come to flower. At what point should I move it outside? Should I remove it from the container to transplant into the garden? Thanks.

Snowdrops are best planted "in the green" - immediately after flowering, rather than when they have died down.

Yes, remove the container if you plant it in the soil.

Roders, that's what I'm hoping for with my garden. On a slightly smaller scale mind you. They look beautiful
