Believe it or not I thought was being optimistic.
Lets face it, we have come this far and achieve absolutely nothing.

Maybe we are now looking at the last few chances of a deal, when the pressure builds.

I is on the brexit advisory panel.

I get paid to advise on deals, policy, trade agreements and the Irish border :)

Glad they're consulting the homeless about this :)

I think this whole Brexit thing has been so divisive throughout the general population, hardly surprising that the MP’s are struggling with it. I wish we’d never embarked on this, not because I voted ‘Remain’, but because of the whole mess we’ve got ourselves into.

If Brexit dies ( which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on an individuals personal viewpoint ) , one things for sure it will be the end of democracy in Britain.

Incidentally Most British governments are voted into power with only a circa 35% share of the vote on a voter turnout of roughly only 60%.

That may be their tactic - the problem as you say is our MP's - who will stop the process well before midnight.

I still and have always thought there will be a no deal brexit.

Interesting that the Italian farming industry have said that if we crash out - it's going to have a major negative impact on them - as the UK will no longer be paying their farming subsidies. They also said that we'll have to do without olive oil.....unthinkable.

The Uk gov is deliberately making a mess of the process in the hope that in the end the whole brexit goal will be abandoned.
Its deliberately trying to aggravate the public hoping that a second referendum will be called which will reject this "negotiated" deal thus keeping the Uk in the pockets of the multinationals and under the control of Brussels.

Much more likely I feel, that a ‘no deal’ will be the upshot. A new referendum would be required to reverse Brexit, and that has been ruled out. I’m guessing that a ‘no deal’ will suit the anti EU amongst us. We’ll just have to wait and see what transpires.

I really dont think a no deal situation is what most leave voters want to see, if you are saying that leave are anti EU?
I voted leave, but a no deal was not my best outcome.
Although I did realise that a no deal was an option if the EU wanted it that way and was prepared to be inflexible, but it is not the best outcome for both sides.

Well, if you listen to the ‘champions’ of Brexit, a ‘no deal’ is no problem. For my part, a new referendum would be preferable, as I think the public are now better informed as to the implications. I for one had never heard of the ‘customs union’ until recent times, and I’m guessing others hadn’t either? I’m not politically or financially astute, and there in lies the problem, I’m guessing others aren’t either? It’s all a mess, AFAIC.
