Hi @BigC , I regularly use Parkers and Hayloft.

Both send out catalogues and at the end of the seasons you also get sales catalogues. With Parkers you also get free gifts with every order. I've had Hydrangea , Acer, Lily bulbs, Narcissi, Tulips and more for nothing.

Hayloft are absolutely amazing. They always send out good plants rather than rooted cuttings. I think @ARMANDII uses Hayloft as well. They do collections of plants. I've had various such as 12 Salvias for £12 , 8 Delphiniums for £8 etc. The collections are always different varieties and if they are out of stock they ask you what you want as a replacement or if you'd like to wait until that one is ready..

I will predominately be looking for basket stuff for next year...Our garden centres are good but quite expensive over here..and a limited choice...its a long way off but I just want to get a feel of what I want and plan ahead...and order in bulk...what I dont want is to make an order when the time comes and be let down by a load of inferior quality plants so I'm just putting this out there for quality recommended suppliers

For plants like Vialli .....lovely plants....check online,,even ebay. Dont go for puny plants if you want something to admire next spring. Hmmm! Too dry is not for these plants. Spend as much cash on enriching the planting site too for super healthy plants
For clematis go for Taylors and Thorncroft....two of the very best. Excellent quality, size and delivered promptly. Huge range too. Again, for impact next year:)

It is. You have one - what's the best way to go about cuttings?

I just take a cutting about 3" long, preferably whilst the stem is still green before it turns woody brown. Strip off the lower leaves and insert it so where the leaves came from is buried. With these it's best not to cover them but leave them open. I strike mine on a windowsill behind a light net so they get some sun but not bright sun.

Have you got the normal P. Tomentosum ? If not I'll do you one.
