Wow! That takes me back :). It must have been around 1957 when that came out. We all loved it. :thumb:

I remember that he followed it with Jingle Bell Rock which was eventually covered by lots of singers. The ones I can remember are Bobby Vee, Brenda Lee, Neil Diamond, Johnny Mathis, Chet Atkins and even Girls Aloud did it recently.

    Thanks for that :gnthb:

I've just bought a 45rpm EP from America quite cheaply with both these recordings on it. It's for the "big band and standards" section of my jukebox.

I just had to include this. It's one of the first singles I bought and is still one of my favourites. It would probably be one of my eight "Desert Island Discs"

I love classic rock, and other types of older music. My favourite band is Pink Floyd. I also love The Beatles, David Bowie, The Clash, Bob Dylan, ELO, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Queen, Ramones, and much more! :)

I've just bought a near mint copy of this "Double A side" for one of my jukeboxes.
They are both nice cheerful tunes to listen to when doing a bit of gardening down at "that end."

I searched eBay for a few months but finally managed to find a mint copy of a 7" single. I've got it on an album, but that wan't the point.

    I've always liked this song.

    Hi lollipop,

This is the version of that song that I bought almost 50 years ago. A completely different presentation of it. :)

It does seem to be a song that lends itself to a woman's voice. Thank you Shiney
