Solved I think it is a salvia

    Hello, I have this lovely plant in the garden and I wanted to propagate it, so I have several lovely plants, but I can't work out exactly what it is, red salvia but which one, I have got square eyes looking at pics and not finding one the same.

    Not an expert but looks like a really nice S. cardinalis.

    What a star you are,
    it is a lobelia cardinalis, no wonder I could not find it under salvia :)
