This remined me of Buddeleia, but I have never seen a yellow-blooming one before. It was just at the beginning of the blooming period, so I only saw the odd flower head, which smelt slightly like honey.

Saw this nice, neat-looking succulant in someones's garden, but can't find it in any of my books either.

:) Hi, Sis ... Mick & Doreen have a yellow Buddleia here.

Sorry, but I don't know what the second one is.

Hi Kedi, the bottom one looks pretty lethal, could it be some kind of Agave?

The yellow one certainly looks buddleja-like, but the only yellow one I know of is the B. Globosa.:)

Thanks, Sis. It must be a wonderful sight when it is in full bloom. Perhaps you could get a pic of it over at Mick and Doreen's. I did take a snipping, have it in a pot here but seriously doubt that it will root, let alone grow here.

Bob and Blackthorn - thanks for the ID, too. Some of the gardens we saw along the seafront were beautifully laid out with pebbles of different colours, lava, stones, etc. You can get an idea of it all from this pic and this Dasylirion caught my eye immediately in its raised bed surrounded by lava stones.

Well done, Aesculus, on the correct ID.

Sis, looked that one up and I'm positive it's was M&D have so may have to see about cuttings ... :) It's on the side of the house as you approach up the drive.

'Nicodemia' or 'Buddleia' Madagascariensis, not very hardy here.

After reading that link, Sis, you better think twice about getting a clipping! s00k

But do go and take some pics of it in full bloom over at Mick and Doreen's, please.

I can remember when I first saw it I asked if it was a Yellow Buddleia as I had never seen one ... shall scrutinise it next visit ...

There are two B. Weyeriana hybrids - Sungold and Moonlight. I have the Moonlight, it flowers for a very long time as it is infertile.
