    Vegetarian cooks little tip:-if you mix then with all the rest of the veg off cuts they make delicious veggie keema kebabs

    I'd try planting a few in my mixed borders as well Claire...but they're already full, well the ones that aren't in the shade and/or damp.

    I just need a bigger garden!

    The lawn has to go Aaron, you know it and I know it, just have to convnce our other halves.

    hehe thanks, I just wondered if the plant is supposed to be kept for months/years as the plant takes up large amount of space in my plot!

    Nope its done - except you may get a bit extra in the form of Spring Greens. Sprouting Broccoli is a biennial, so if you leave it there it will make seed in its second year (well, it would, but you've murdered it by cutting all its flower buds off!!)

    And cus the stems are so woody, doesn't even make that good compost!

    It is a very long growing time but worth it,both as a veg and as blue cheese and broccoli soup.you can use the leaves too

    ah didnt know that, its looking very sad at the moment since I took the last lot off. Seemed to take ages to grow and high maintenence - caterpillar squashing!
