Perhaps digressing a bit. Have you notice how heavy laden the Hollies are this year, and the magnifiscent colours.

I overlook a small park, and from my sittingroom window I have full view of an Arbutus, that is now in full flower, then a stand of Laurus nobilus, and a mixed variety of Ilex. I must say. I have lived here since 1964, these trees were already well established. From a scientist/horticulturalist point of view, those old gardeners knew their trade. When we moved in. Each dwelling had a front garden and a flowering cherry tree at the gate. Then along came the motor car. Trees gone and concrete. Local council planted a roadside line of maples. Not attractive ones but the one that has flowers of bright yellow then this summer drape of almost black foliage. Horrid looking. Most newly planted trees became victims of drunken yobs and were soon snapped off.

It's not you discriminating. It's the others discriminating against the Scots. :rolleyespink: Or they're scared to cross the border! :hate-shocked:
