I've just been given 3 x Strawberry plants...well three rootballs in a plastic bag :lollol:

What's my best option to plant these and protect them in case we have more frosts? My greenhouse wont be ready for at least a week or so, so what should I do?

    Steve...:)

well I keep mine in pots they are currently in a coldframe so I'd put them inside but in a cool room if you can till your greenhouse is done.

Frost shouldn't bother them Steve. Just pop them in their pots into a sheltered corner until ready to plant.
About this time last year I got a load of new bare rooted plants. I planted most directly into their permanent bed and half a dozen into a couple of big pots in our polytunnel. All the plants survived and cropped.

All my Strawberries are outside and doing fine. The frost should not affect it.

I play safe, I keep half of my plants in the greenhouse and leave the others outside to battle the elements. Checking them today after reading your post, I can see the outside one are looking healthier.

Mine also survive the best or worst the weather throws at them. I would plant in pots and leave outside
