We popped to Costco today, in an attempt to find a mat for the kitchen that doesn't try and kill me (long story - may come out as this thread progresses!); anyway, the place was absolutely heaving! I have never seen it so busy, not even on the run up to Christmas - it appeared that people were gearing up for New Year's parties, as they were buying trays of sandwiches at £19 a shot, big cakes at a tenner, but the thing that really jumped out a mile at me were these:

What you might not be able to read, in the first picture, is the description which includes the approximate duration - - 195 seconds. Just over 3 minutes, for £120!! People are either rich, mad or both.

Yeah more money around than we think, or maybe more likely different priorities.
They buy that kind of junk then moan about the price of fruit and veg.

To me they are the Pizza brigade, (not trying to upset anyone who likes pizza), but they buy junk food because they cant "afford" good food.
But always have the big telly, most of it is on the credit card.
But that is how the government like it, it keeps the economy on the up.

And what exactly is up with pizza? Eh! Does it make me a lesser person? What? Tell me :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

.............................. Must admit, I hate it when people call up Dominos and call THAT a pizza! What is up with these people?

Anyway, back on topic. It is small willy syndrome @Fat Controller . Spending loads in a showy-offy way makes them feel better about themselves.

We went to Morrisons yesterday when they'd started doing there second/final reductions, knocking everything down to 5p and with use by dates of 31/12. Made a note of the dates on loads of other stuff about to expire in the New Year when we next go shopping. Rather spend our money on something that will last for many years.
