    Hi All
    [IMG]
Been thinking of getting one of thses only the small one though... Does anyone have one already and what do think ? sprays a constant mist to maintain moisture without water-logging, preventing root rot and fungal infections.

    Hi,

Have a standard heated seed tray and clear lid and its generally covered with condensation so rarely have need to spray any cuttings, plus some cuttings prefer to keep their tops dryer.

What might be of interest is just got this email this morning from Kings Seeds, with their offer code this standard unit is just £19 + delivery.

I had a look at them awhile back, i thought they were quite expensive for what they are . I assume the bottom filled up with water for the rooting to grow in.

what I've done before is stick some cutting in a yogurt pot and then put the pot in my propagator, think they were fuchsia cutting. They probably root without the propagator but they were late cutting so wasn't so confident but all but one has rooted.

Seems really expensive for what it is.

I have only ever seen round ones of these things and I think they are pretty successful. They have a pump in the bottom with the water and it sprays around the stems which are hanging down in the basket affairs and the roots form as the water washes over them all the time is how I understand it. I would have thought you would need to be doing quite a lot of cuttings quite regularly for it to pay though I would have though.
