My neighbour has his road contracting yard next door. I went round to see him today and he mentioned top soil, we then discussed it and he said there was a dump of topsoil and I could help myself. He said I could have a couple of tons if I wanted it. It's nice sandy soil (ours is heavy clay), came from a garden in Godmanchester where he put in a new drive. If I talk him nicely he will probably hoist a few bucketfuls up with the big digger and dump it over the hedge into my garden. It's nice to know the right people.

:ntwrth:Aagh, the envy ! If you knew how many hours I have spent moving bags of soil in and out of trailers and wheelbarrows...:flag:Still, that's the definition of a favour - no problem to those who offer, a great delight to those who receive !
