Favourite has to be my hand fork. It just feels right. We have 3 or 4 but I always pick the same one

I've at least two of the most used tools, trowels, hand forks, secateurs, pairs of garden gloves, so I can carry on gardening with the second until I find the first.

My fave is my adjustable lawn rake.
              I'd never garden without it.

Definitely an ancient hoe bequeathed to me by a lovely former client, sadly deceased. She had wonderful sandy soil, ideal for running a hoe over quickly to do away with weed seedlings. Unfortunately, every garden I've ever had has been on clay soil, but it still comes in handy for about 6 weeks of the year  I think of her every time I use it.....

It has to be my border fork although I haven't got any borders. My current garden is on bedrock and full of tree roots so a spade is hopeless. I also use the fork for weeding and turning soil both here and in previous gardens, so never felt the need for a hoe.

Most useful tool , is the thin trowel . I think they are called transplanter trowels. These are ideal for weeding , digging planting holes , general tidying etc . Also where would we be without the plastic trug for transporting the garden waste to the green bin .
Lawnmowers are pretty useful as well , it's hard work cutting a lawn on your knees with scissors

Whilst I like my Felco's, my absolute fave are my Okatsune 103 Bypass Secateurs - sharp as anything & make a lovely satisfying clunk - recommended, even at the rather eye watering price over here.
