Why has the recent spate of offensive and racist posts been allowed to continue?
They are surely not acceptable....if if this attitude is considered to be the general thought of this forum then I am leaving.... to be honest im fairly free thinking but this is disgusting

Maybe others dont see it your way, maybe they do, but its not up to you to tell the mods what to do.

    Its their decision.

Like everyone else on here you've the opportunity to object to specific posts by clicking on the appropriate button (report post) for any message to which you object. No need to start a topic on it.
There's some which are near the mark, but the only action I've thought necessary was to "scroll down."

I'm sure the mods will take the action they deem necessary and may have already issued "the gypsy's warning" where appropriate, for all we know..

Leaving a forum is anyone's choice, but to threaten to leave if the moderators don't do what you say they should, is in my opinion a bit over the top.

To be honest I've been thinking the same thing as Axie-ali for the last few days as well, even if it's in the muppet show thread it's just not right

there need to be some rules setup... some things just don't have a place on a gardening forum: Religion, Politics, Racism - including somewhat near the mark jokes on any subject

The car bomb joke is far less offensive than the majority which find their way onto main stream television on a weekly basis.

It's also in a sub forum alongside jokes about Australians, Irish, Scousers etc ad infinitum. Why are jokes about Mosques protected? My partner's a scouse and she laughed at the Ferrari joke. In all honesty I'd be worried if she didn't.

A joke is called a joke for a reason, if you don't like it don't acknowledge it!

Cheers for your input people :)

We try to deal with everything by fair consensus and therefore a lack of immediacy isn't always a sign that nothing is happening.

Doghouse Riley is quite right, if you see something you dislike please report it by using the report facility [IMG]

As well as our own efforts, moderation is for the most part a reactive job and we very much rely on our loyal members to draw our attention to those things which offend of appear inappropriate.

We don't see everything so if we miss something tell us [IMG]

    Thankyou :)
