We have just started to liquidise our kitchen vegetable waste (fruit peels and cores,eg bananas, apples, and vegetable peels, eg carrots, beetroot) and pouring it round our plants - rather than throwing it away with the garbage.

Is anyone aware as to whether this would be beneficial for the plants, or otherwise ...??

    Thanks

I think I would compost the vegetable waste.
The liquidised waste will compete for nitrogen with your plants as it decomposes. Also disease could be spread to your plants.

Hi @Paul Batute and Welcome.. Nigel is quite correct that you mustn’t do that.. Your Smoothie needs to break down first before you use it... If you have room to grow do you not have room to compost it properly.? You can buy enclosed compost tumblers that break it down really quickly.. They're clean and do not smell and you wouldn’t need to smoothie it.! THIS one is the smallest most compact and cheapest that I know of..
