Solved Please help identify these

Thanks @Mike Allen - so how big can Acanthus get if we just leave it? Should I cut the flowers down before the seeds drop then? I mean obviously yes I guess if we don’t want more - I’m just surprised that they came from literally nothing - we love our new house so much it’s just lovely seeing what’s actually in our new garden before organising it!! So if it damages the plant cutting flowers early then happy to leave it!
