Tomorrow will be six months exactly since I stopped smoking. Apart from a very drunken episode four months ago when I had a drag of a cigarette at a party, I haven't smoked since. Apart from the odd craving, I haven't looked back, so for all those thinking about it, just pick a date that suits and go for it. You'll not regret it :)

Well done Aaron. I gave up 8 months ago when I had a really bad bout of bronchitis. As you say apart from a few cravings it's fine - and the thing to remember is that those cravings only last a few minutes at most. I think we deserve a pat on the back along with Mr K. :thumb:

There's a lot of it about, I gave up on the 5th Jan, having started smoking at the age of 15. So far, some heavy cravings, but managing to hang in there. It sure aint easy, but worth the effort, I think. Cheers...freddy.

Well done all of you (30 years for me) and as David so rightly says you have to regard yourself as a non smoker.Your clothes and hair don't stink anymore (or your breath). I realise I have just allienated myself against current smokers here but it is true.:flag:

    Congratulations SussexG.

I used to smoke when I was 15, but then my father caught me stealing his cigarettes. he said he didn't mind me smoking as long as I paid for them myself. I have never smoked since. :D

Why not put all the money you would have spent on cigarettes into a special jam jar/account and look on that as an additional incentive.
