Hello from Tewkesbury

Well you all seem to be a friendly bunch.
I hope I can add and receive some advice and information as a gardener here
in Tewkesbury.
As well as our own small town garden which contains a stunning Wellingtonia, planted when this estate formed part of the grounds of a local country house, I also look after several local gardens large and small. In one we have a very healthy sea buckthorne (great smell of vitamin C when you crush the berries) and in another 2 winter flowering honeysuckles (superb scent at this time of year).
Apart from this I am actively involved in Coppicing having helped to found a charitable group to acquire land as a Community Woodland whilst also looking to get approval from the Environment Agency to establish an 88 acre Community Wetland/Woodland.
This tends to keep me busy and stops me spending all our savings on my 1975 Mitsubishi J26 SWB Jeep or our Welsh Section C Pony. :hehe:

I'm looking to create a Community Wetland/Woodland and wondered if you had any suggestions on non indigenous species of trees and/or shrubs that will tollerate, or even thrive, in wetland. My idea is to include samples in a visitors centre to illustrate how other wetland habitats develop in areas subject to daily or seasonal flooding.
