Sorry for unpleasant subject matter - but this is such a problem. My garden is becoming overrun by foxes; they keep having babies under my neighbours huge old shed and another neighbour feeds then regularly. I can cope with them digging in my garden, but it has reached the horrible point where it seems that my garden has become the public convenience for them all. UGH UGH UGH. I've tried slooshing copious amounts of Jeyes fluid, which has worked previously to get rid of badgers - but foxes aren't put off at all by it. I can't try those ultrasonic scarers because I don't want to scare away my cat. Please does anyone know how to keep away foxes??
2 Dalmatians, 2 German Shepherds, 1 Utonagan and 1 Border Collie works for us, other than that, a 12 bore shotgun works! Sorry, not much help.
Every time any male in your house needs to go to 'the gents' they need to go outside and P around your boundry ..obviously when no neighbours are about..
Sounds unpleasant JJ28 Can you talk to your neighbours ....to the owner of the shed to maybe screen off access to it? To the neighbour who feeds them? If you explain how the foxes are messing your garden they might agree a strategy
My electric fence was down for a few days because the tree felling ripped it up and a raccoon took advantage of the breach and left deposits for me to discover and a very muddy bird bath. I didn't have any official animal deterrent sprays on hand so I grabbed a spray can of concentrated room freshener ... let me get it and check the scent... it is Lilac Bloom and very strong. I had used it for the guest loo until I could get to a shop to to buy poo porri refills... anyway, the raccoon did not visit again. It is an obnoxious smell but it did the job until I fixed the fencing at least. Maybe try shooting some of that type of product around the perimeter?
