    i am heather from hampshire and have recently got an allotment, am new to the forum, enjoy all types of gardening, walking and nature

    To GC... We have quite a few allotment growers who are always ready for a chat or offer advice as well as all the other gardeners... :) I sure there will be plenty to keep you busy...:)

    Thankyou for my welcome, I have only had my allotment since November so I am looking forward to a very interesting and educational new year. After planting twelve strawberry plants given as a gift for Xmas and only having enough wire to cover six of them, I was pleased to see that the DEER had not eaten them.
