I've no idea why you felt it necessary to pass any comment on my post in the first place.
    It was patently a criticism.
I've never criticised your actions over anything, it's none of my business.
I subscribe to the view that on message boards, "if you can't say anything nice to someone, it's best to say nothing at all."
But obviously you're different, so as you say, "Que sera sera."

So why don't you now just let it go and move on?

I had a busy day inside because of the free water I'm getting. Made lots of gluten free items for a grandkid's lunches and managed to not have results mimicking cement :)

Got all of my kitchen cupboard doors scrubbed and am well pleased with the results.

Had a visit with some friends. What's the point of getting everything company ready if you don't have company? Even Mrs. Bucket would have been impressed

Now I'm ready for the sun and being outside tomorrow :spinning:

I ordered myself one of these. A seat for my Powakaddy electric golf trolley.

Now this isn't because I'm feeling my age, it's because I'm rather tired of the occasions like today, when the group in front, is holding us up on every hole. So much standing around and waiting. What I really need is a deck chair!
      Today was the last straw!

I and most of those with whom I play, can get round in three and a half hours, but sometimes if there's a slow group anywhere ahead of us, it can take more than four and possibly five.

A friend who was playing with his wife, happened to be passing us in the opposite direction on a shared path as they were several holes behind us had one, she had just bought him for his birthday.

It'll be handy, as there's a box underneath to hold things like tees, also a banana or apple, a sandwich or a pie, if you take them, which usually have to get stuffed into your golf bag.

Saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood today. Very good indeed, the ending was a complete surprise though. Lots of big names and clever linking to the past.

Yesterday was spent trying to catch up on everything that has built up whilst we were on a week's holiday in the Lake District. 34 snail mails, 15 phone messages but the emails were all dealt with whilst on holiday - apart from the 'I'll deal with that when I get back' ones.

Many hours spent on the phone - batteries went flat on two cordless phones and had to plug in an old fashioned hard wired phone kept for that purpose. Spent almost two hours talking to our power company in an attempt to get a better contract and eventually got them down by a projected £750 p.a. - only to find that to have that contract I must have a smart meter installed. So I've now switched from that company (been with them for years) to another that offered me the same rates without a smart meter. :blue thumb:

I've also been having some decorators come in to quote for painting the summerhouse as the job is much too big for me nowadays. :old: Another one coming this evening.

Been organising for a plumber to sort out our loo in the utility room as it has packed up. It needs a complete new unit as it's one of these more modern (14 years old) plastic things with a syphon and a plastic bag instead of a ballcock. It's fixed inside a boxed off unit with a pull out cover that means bending forward whilst replacing it - and I can't do that!

In between carrying on sorting things out I actually hope to do some mowing, which hasn't been done for over a month because of the drought here.

I envy your use of phone and internet @shiny. :)

First it was it was the lack of accessibility to the cables due to council not lopping the trees as requested that hindered the start of new cables being put up, but yesterday they discovered the can't touch them because a high voltage cable is running across them! Hopefully this or next week should see them fit us with a temporary line.

@Upsydaisy If you can get a long enough cable you can plug into ours :blue thumb: :heehee:

As thanks @shiny that is very kind of you.:thankyou:

Unfortunately it's not the length of the cable that is the problem but all the hazards in the way!

Temporary line is up and running......all along the lane!!!! Phone is working but they can't work out why the internet is still at snail speed:noidea: The team have been here all morning and have just gone ,for now, they don't know how long the wait will be before we get a permanent cable but the planners have been notified.

Last week I had two e-mails from our energy supplier, one to say my direct debit for £130 a month had been cancelled. The other one said it had been replaced by one for £176.

I thought that was a bit high as I was still in credit for about fifty quid. But I guessed it'd sort itself out over a couple of monthly on-line meter readings.

Today I got two more e-mails, one saying the direct debit for £176 had been cancelled, the other said it had been replaced by one for £130.

I phoned them and asked what was going on. A lady with a strong Asian accent named Michelle (really?) checked into it and told me their computer got its sums wrong and there was no need to change the original DD. I asked her to check there wasn't now two direct debits and she confirmed there was only one for £130.
You can't beat computer technology can you?

That's great, we only have Virgin Media for Broadband, have the landline with BT and only celestial TV. Don't watch much TV so waste of money.
Never had any problems with Virgin Media.

I was up at 5.50 am went for my swim before work. It was still quite dark as I drove to the pool but the moon was lovely and it promised a clear day. As I left the pool there was sunshine and birdsong .... lovely.
My colleagues were all in good moods and our patients all friendly and good fun to banter with.
Then to really make my day this morning I touched base with someone I have not been in contact with a while but thought about a lot. I am so much happier for doing so. It has been a great day for me
I hope you all were so lucky today!
