1 - Ace of Spades (Aug) - Overflow Super shot and sensitive use of processing has served to enhance the atmosphere very successfully. One for the wall!

2 - Marge (Jan) - Melting Mums - Lovely subject and composition and very clever enhancement

3 - Strongy' (May) - Pink Poppy Beautiful crisp photo. I see more tiny details every time I look at it!

Great pictures throughout this year ...... What will we have for the following, and can the standard improve any more ?

My final choices would have to be (and were difficult to make as well!! )

1st Roders - Feed Me , clarity of the picture and what has been captured is great :thumb:
2nd Shiney - A Maizing Reds, Simple but effective use of a subject :thumb:
3rd Alana - Most Easterly Dawn, Great picture and doesn't look over enhanced.

Great selections of pictures, and lets just hope that the bar has been raised for this year ........... As I have let on in another thread, I have been bought a Canon G9 camera this year, so hopefully my interest in photography will be back again and I will be taking part this year :thumb:

First Place - Strongyloden - Pink Poppy - beautiful colours, the photo looks so fresh with the water droplets and the tiny 'hairs' visible on the leaves etc. Gorgeous!

Second Place - Dave W. - X-Ray Health Check - again very true colours of a subject that we all take for granted - a lovely simple photo but brilliant composition! Love it!

Third Place - Kathy - Sun's Rays - beautiful colours and subject - reminds me of my days living in Cornwall - miss it so very much - fab photo!!

All my chosen entries come under the 'Less is More' rule - don't you agree?

Very difficult to decide as always the standard is so high!

    1st .... Kathy3 ... Sun's Rays (so peaceful and tranquil)
2nd ... Marge ... Melting Mums (very beautifully enhanced)
3rd ... Strongyloden ... Pink Poppy (just so beautiful)

I found this a very difficult decision to make combining the three competitions ... all the photographs are worthy winners and good luck to everyone.
