My plants from Crocus finally arrived yesterday, they seem to be in good condition. The Ajuga 'Catlin's Giant' have a few buds on them so I should get some flowers soon, I think. :) Hopefully they will attract some Orange-tip and Green-veined White butterflies to the garden!

Echinacea purpurea, been sitting in the post office since Tuesday don't look to bad considering.

Nice! Great plant for butterflies and bees, the seeds are also enjoyed by Blue Tits and Finches apparently. :) I bought one of those a few weeks ago and look forward to growing it in a nice container. Tough little plants as long as they're well-drained I think, mine was accidentally stomped on by roof workers a couple of days ago but is still shooting up!

            Here's a laugh

I tried to get the one Asparagus Fern seed my daughter in law had, to germinate. No luck so I ordered a few new ones. I didn't read details as I was in a hurry and the package arrived. Think I can get one out of this lot to sprout?:heehee:

Bare root pentaglottis sempervirens (green alkanet) just arrived, 3 day turnaround surprised with that considering. 20200407_103741.jpg

Very late reply ... too late probably. I find Cleome need varied temperature to get good germination. if I leave them at "ideal" propagator temperature they are disappointing. On windowsill where they get cooked by the sun, and chilly at night, might be better than in propagator.

I bought a big "double" LED growlamp - cast off from a failed high-value-crop growers attempt i expect - to add to my exist two square ones.

Wasn't sure it was going to be the right type from the description ... but it is ... so i wish I had bought the other one he had on eBay too. I'm moving it left-to-right to give 12 hours to each half of the table, but a second one would mean I could lift everything on the table onto the floor and swap-over a complete second set of plants, which is a few days time is the amount of plants I will actually have ...

Thank you for sharing the link I have just ordered a "Belle De Crecy" bare root for a large wooden planter on my new patio raised bed. Excited to start getting some new plants in to brighten the area up.
